KKSM has been given the mission and vision to pierce the darkened hearts
of today's youth with the light of Jesus Christ. The King of Kings Skateboard
Ministry will achieve this mission by using the cultural tools that today's
youth are engaged and interested in daily. We will implement a methodology
that is radical, legitimate and acceptable to the standards that today's
youth culture desires. We have become a stand-alone ministry not supported
in any way by any other organization, relying on God's provision to go
into all the nations to preach the Gospel. KKSM is looking for individuals,
who may have a vision for the youth of this generation and would like
to be a part of this radical movement.
If you feel like that this is a ministry you can support, then join our
team as a partner, praying without ceasing first, always remembering our
ministry team as they travel the world. Then if God leads and has given
you direction to help financially, by donating to this ministry you can

KKSM's new President Rick Weigele comes to us out of Arizona but that's
not where he has always called home. He grew up surfing the coast of San
Diego from La Jolla's Scripps Pier to Encinitas and Leucadia to the north.
Although Rick never skated competitively or for a sponsor he did
skate everyday down Pacific Coast Highway to go to work or take him
to a local surf spot. My skateboard was my means of transportation
back then he says. Growing up in the 60's and 70's surfing and skating
was a life style Rick says, we pretty much rejected all forms of competitive
skating and organized surf contests back then, and really we rejected
anything else outside of our culture.
While living in Hawaii in 1977 Rick committed his life to Jesus Christ
at Waimea Bay. After numerous surfing and skating accidents, some
which required hospital visits, Rick believes that God was trying
to get his attention. I felt like God was telling me that my way of
life was actually leading to death, and that HIS way was eternal life
and I had to make a decision. That decision came at 3:00 am in the
morning while living on Oahu's North Shore; Rick committed his life
to Jesus Christ and has not looked back.
He still rides a long board and surfs one too. Rick worked for 23
years as a Firefighter retiring in 2005 as a Battalion Chief to move
to Portland Oregon to lead the Livin It Ministry with Stephen Baldwin,
and Kevin Palau.
In July 0f 2006 Rick made the decision to come over to the KKSM Ministry
full time to follow through with the calling he felt God had put on
his heart, to reach out to a lost generation and give them that message
of Hope. Rick lives in Chandler, Arizona with his beautiful wife and
kids.
